Dr. Aimee Gilbert grew up in the local area around Lake Simcoe and Georgian Bay, and was happy to return after attending the University of Guelph for 8 years. She earned her Bachelor of Science in 2001, followed by her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2005. Throughout her career, she has been committed to providing compassionate, practical, relationship-focused care for pets and the people who love them.

After two decades at a busy small-town practice, Dr. Gilbert continues to enjoy supporting families through every stage of their pets’ lives — from wellness and preventive care to managing chronic conditions and navigating urgent concerns. Her professional passions include dental health, surgery, internal medicine, nutrition, and strengthening the human–animal bond through clear communication and thoughtful, individualized care.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Gilbert is embracing a new chapter with more time for her wife, friends, and family. She enjoys scuba diving, traveling, spending relaxing days at the lake, and playing with their dog and cats. She is excited to be joining the Pine Grove team and looks forward to meeting you and your pets.
